Exámenes Estandarizados

STANDARDIZED EXAMS

Standardized tests play an important role in the development and preparation of students for their school and university life. These tests allow for the evaluation and comparison of student performance in a controlled environment using standardized materials. This enables schools to make informed academic planning decisions, recommend support programs aimed at helping students identify and capitalize on their strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately, leverage those strengths and weaknesses.

The standardized tests administered at the school include:

CPAA

It is an adaptive diagnostic assessment that should be used primarily as a teaching tool. This patented program for children was developed at Columbia University and MIT.

The CPAA assessment is used with students from Pre-Primary to 2nd grade of primary school to evaluate children's learning process in English, Spanish Language and Mathematics.

MAP TEST

MAP assessments are virtual adaptive performance tests in Mathematics and Reading for our students from 3rd grade through 6th grade, giving us the norm of student growth over time and processing detailed data in both areas.

PSAT 8/9 y PSAT NMSQT

The PSAT exams are standardized tests administered annually to prepare students for the SAT, the college entrance exam. The SAT is currently one of the most widely used college admissions tests internationally, particularly in the United States, as well as in Europe and Canada. The College Board, a nationally recognized American educational organization, creates, administers, and scores the exam.

Taking this test provides students with the following benefits:

  • It exposes students to the types of questions and problems used by professors teaching at international universities.
  • It allows students to practice, in a real-world setting, the format of this type of standardized test.
  • Connects students with scholarship opportunities for summer programs at international universities during their high school education.
  • It provides students with the opportunity to develop each year the skills required to achieve a better score when taking the SAT.
  • The College Board report includes the student's score in all sections of the test. Based on this result, the student will have access to personalized practice sessions, which contributes to better preparation and the selection of AP (Advanced Placement) program courses that best suit their profile.
  • It helps students get admitted to more international universities and obtain better scholarship opportunities for their university studies.
