SANTO DOMINGO

The main focus is on the student and their relationship in particular with their peers, their community, their country and the world, providing the tools for empowerment and control in the learning process.

We work with the Project-Based Learning methodology, enhancing and motivating the search for solutions to the real problems of their daily lives.

At this level we have multiple programs that help to strengthen the skills required to face the academic and socio-emotional challenges that are needed.

Some of these programs are:

Designed to support students with specific needs in English and literacy. A private tutor has set schedules with groups of no more than 5 students at a time during school hours, developing a personalized program to reinforce and level their language skills.

We have a highly trained staff responsible for providing personalized follow-up to children with specific needs in the reading process, as well as promoting and developing specific reading activities with the different grades.

The school has implemented the Cloud 9 program from preschool through sixth grade, reinforcing values that are important to the New Horizons culture. This program uses virtual platforms and provides access for parents, teachers, and students, allowing them to develop academic skills while simultaneously cultivating values essential for their human and emotional development.

Our students graduate from the Coding program in the third grade. Students begin working on the program in their early childhood technology classes. After completing the program, they can graduate in third grade and continue developing their coding skills.

The school has a Moodle platform for students, allowing them to maintain direct and interactive contact with their assignments and class content.

The school has the Literacy Planet program which seeks to promote children's English skills.

This website provides activity guides for students and teachers to reinforce English language literacy.

Through this international online mathematics competition, students promote the use of logic, are exposed to international competition scenarios, and can practice and challenge their mathematical skills.

Through this app, students can access many virtual books and promote reading through the digital world.
